Day 1: Arusha → Machame Gate → Machame Camp
  • Drive to Machame Gate
  • Begin trek through dense rainforest
  • Trekking time: 5–7 hours
  • Overnight: Machame Camp
Day 2: Machame Camp → Shira Camp
  • Trek through moorland zone
  • Enjoy views of Kibo Peak
  • Trekking time: 4–6 hours
  • Overnight: Shira Camp
Day 3: Shira Camp → Lava Tower → Barranco Camp
  • Climb to Lava Tower for acclimatization
  • Descend to Barranco Camp
  • “Climb high, sleep low” strategy
  • Trekking time: 6–8 hours
Day 4: Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp
  • Climb the Barranco Wall
  • Short but scenic trekking day
  • Trekking time: 3–5 hours
Day 5: Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp
  • Trek to base camp for summit
  • Prepare for midnight summit push
  • Trekking time: 3–4 hours
Day 6: Summit Day → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp
  • Midnight start to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m)
  • Witness sunrise at the summit
  • Descend to Mweka Camp
  • Trekking time: 10–14 hours
Day 7: Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate → Arusha
  • Descend through rainforest
  • Transfer back to Arusha
  • Trekking time: 3–4 hours
